Athletic Trainer Certified of the Year Award
Purpose: This award will recognize a member of the South Dakota Athletic
Trainers Association for his/her service to the SDATA and/or outstanding
contribution to the profession of athletic training.
Time: An award
to be presented not more than once in a calendar year for achievement and/or
recognition for the past year of service.
Place: Presentation
of this award will take place at the South
Dakota Athletic Trainers Association
State meeting during the
nomination year.
Award: A
plaque bearing the name.
Eligibility
Requirements:
- Membership in the SDATA, MAATA &
NATA.
- Certified athletic trainer and
licensed within South Dakota.
- Active in SDATA/MAATA/work place and
in the state.
- Contributions to the development of
athletic training in the state or community in which the nominee works.
Nomination and
Selection Procedures:
1. A
person wishing to nominate an individual for this award must send a completed
nomination form to the Athletic Trainer Certified of the Year chairperson
between May 1 and June 20 of the award year.
- The Athletic Trainer Certified of the
Year committee will consider all nominations mailed to the chairperson by
June 20 and make a decision by June 30 of the award year.
- The committee need not select a
recipient every year.
- The action of the committee is to
remain private with the exception of announcing the recipient or the
decision not to present the award.
